Marie Angela Steele, 91, Of Yonkers YONKERS, N.Y. -- Marie Angela Steele died Sunday, May 24, at age 91. Steele was born July 7, 1923, in New York City to Gaspar and Consuelo Smallwood Vaccarino. She graduated from Mount St. Ursula High School in 1940. On Sept. 4, 1948, she married Vincent Steele at St. Theresa's Church in the Bronx. Steele was affiliated with both St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville and Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers. The baby couldn't wait to arrive and was delivered in the back of the Fire Department's new ambulance at the scene, the spokesperson said.
