Goldens Bridge Troop Members Get Eagle Scout Awards CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Alex Wagner and Ben Weinstein of Boy Scout Troop 154 of Goldens Bridge received the Eagle Scout Award at a Court of Honor ceremony on May 9 at John Jay High School. The Eagle Scout Award is the highest recognition offered by the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Fewer than 1 percent of all boys in Scouting achieve this award. In addition to other requirements, a Scout must complete an Eagle Scout project that is helpful to his school, community or religious institution. Domestic Violence Charges Against New Rochelle's Ray Rice Dismissed NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Domestic violence charges against New Rochelle native Ray Rice were dismissed Thursday by a New Jersey judge after the former Baltimore Ravens running back completed a pretrial intervention program, the Baltimore Sun reports. The charges resulted from Rice's February 2014 attack on his now-wife, Mount Vernon native Janay Rice, in an elevator in an Atlantic City casino, according to the Sun. State Lawmakers Meet Constituents At Ridgefield Library RIDGEFIELD, Conn. – State Reps. John Frey, R-111, and Jan Giegler, R-138, held office hours Monday, May 11 at the Ridgefield Library. They discussed bills currently being deliberated in the legislature. Frey and Giegler will have additional office-hour events following the end of this year’s legislative session. All residents are invited to attend to hear updates on current legislation and to express their concerns about local and state government. The 2015 Connecticut legislative session is scheduled to complete its session on June 3.
