Stamford Residents Get Creative With Canned Vegetarian Beans
STAMFORD, Conn. -- When the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County found itself with a surplus of canned vegetarian beans, it turned to New Neighborhoods Inc. to come up with ways to get more people to choose to use the ingredient. NNI’s Tenant Advocate Program coordinators cooked up a challenge that was too tasty to refuse: a vegetarian bean contest for tenants that culminated in a cook-off finale in April at NNI’s Martin Luther King Jr. Apartments in Stamford. Airbag Recall Is Largest Ever In Auto History
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Takata will almost double the size of the recall of faulty airbags, making this the biggest auto recall in history, money.cnn.com reports. Takata airbags used in approximately 18 million vehicles have already been recalled, according to money.cnn.com. The latest recall will raise that number to about 34 million vehicles, or about one of every seven automobiles on roads in the U.S. today, money.cnn.com reports. To read the full story, click here.
