Bridia Maner, 79, Bridgeport Resident
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Bridia Maner, of Bridgeport, died Wednesday, Aug. 12. She was 79.
She was born Sept. 24, 1935, to the late Jessie Dewitt and Laura Vereen in Conway, S.C. She was formerly employed as a private housekeeper for several families. She was a former member of Trinity Holiness UFW Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
She was predeceased by her parents her husband, John Maner, and five children.
She is survived by her children, Michael Wilson, Scott Maner, Denise Maner and Phyllis Wilson, all of Bridgeport, and Alice DeWitt of Pennsylvania; 22 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchild…
Mount Vernon's Y-cop Throws Back-To-School Bash
MOUNT VERNON N.Y. – The Youth Community Outreach Program Inc. of Mount Vernon will host the Back to School Bash on Friday from 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. to celebrate the last day of camp.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Irene Ross Russell, 78, of Bridgeport, wife of William Russell Sr., died Friday, Aug. 14, at home.
Russell was born in West Virginia and was a Bridgeport-area resident most of her life.
She was a retired nurses aide for United Visiting Nurse Association. She was a member of the Germania Schwaben Society and sang in the chorus. She also was a member of the Hanughari Singing Society.
