Stony Point Police Arrest Two Locals Over Holiday Weekend STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point police arrested two local people over the holiday weekend, one for drugs and driving on a suspended license, and another for driving on a suspended license. Michelle Squillante, 46, of Stony Point was charged with driving on a suspended license and for possession of a hypodermic needle and a small quantity of marijuana, following a traffic stop around 2 a.m. Sunday, Stony Point, Lt. Fifth-Graders Graduate From Ramapo Police DARE Program RAMAPO, N.Y. -- More than 150 smiling fifth graders graduated from the DARE program Tuesday at Kakiat Elementary School in Spring Valley, hosted by the Ramapo Police Department. The enthusiastic students were presented with certificates and recognition for completing the DARE program. DARE Officer Danny Lynch, who runs the program for the police department, was impressed with the student involvement.  Darren the DARE Lion was also on hand to assist Lynch and Chief Brad Weidel with the ceremony.
