Woman Taking Walk Mistaken For Bear Mountain Bridge Jumper
A local woman out for a walk Thursday afternoon will have quite a story to tell after being mistaken for a possible bridge jumper.The woman, who was walking across the Bear Mountain Bridge, was mistaken for a possible bridge jumper by a passing motorist who reported the sighting to state police. Troopers responded to the bridge around 3:45 p.m. after receiving the call from the motorist who reported the woman was mid-span on the bridge, state police said. Westchester Road Rage Suspect Appears In Court
A 21-year-old Dutchess County man accused of stabbing another man in a road rage incident on Saturday faced a judge on Thursday in Mount Pleasant Town Court. But the proceedings against Christian Walczyk were quickly adjourned when his attorney waived the reading of the charges against him, reported News12.com. Motorist Breaks Both Legs In Palisades Interstate Parkway Crash
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A single-vehicle crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway left the driver with two broken legs, according to New York State Police.The crash, which happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, was on the southbound lanes of the parkway just north of Exit 10 near New City. The driver, who lost control of his vehicle, was extricated and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The crash is currently under investigation.

Details Emerge In Rollover Crash That Caused Hours-Long Route 35 Closure
South Salem firefighters spent more than two hours clearing Route 35 following a single-vehicle crash on Sunday just west of the Shell Station at the junction of Route 121 north. The crash, which occurred around 3 p.m., was a reported rollover with extrication needed, but when crews arrived on scene they found that all passengers had been able to exit the truck which had flipped over the guardrail and rolled down the embankment, Chief Avery Scott said. Overturned Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Route 35 In South Salem
SOUTH SALEM, N.Y. -- South Salem firefighters barely had to step out of their front door to help with an overturned vehicle crash on Route 35 on Tuesday. The crash, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., left the vehicle smoking on its side, Chief Avery Scott said. The lone occupant of the vehicle was outside the vehicle when firefighters arrived and was treated by Westchester EMS, Scott said. Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Dutchess Crash
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A motorcycle driver received severe facial lacerations in a crash around 12:45 p.m. Thursday on Dog Tail Corners Road in Wingdale, according to state police. Driver Of Stolen Luxury Car Caught After Crash In Pomona
ROCKLAND COUNTY N.Y. -- Ramapo police nabbed the driver of a stolen 2015 Infinity after he crashed into a wooded area on Route 306 in Pomona Wednesday evening, police said. Cash Stolen From Italian Deli In Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. -- A thief hit a popular Yonkers deli early Tuesday, taking a couple of hundred dollars, but leaving behind all kinds of great meats and cheeses. Yonkers police were notified by an alarm of the burglary at Avitabile Latticini Deli at 1030 Yonkers Ave. around 2:15 a.m., said Yonkers Police Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. RAMAPO, N.Y. -- A single-car crash briefly closed Route 45 at Old School House Road in New Hempstead Wednesday morning after the driver lost control of the vehicle and drove into a wooded area, police said.
