Tractor-Trailer Slams Into Car In Wappingers Falls DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A tractor-trailer slammed into a car in Wappingers Falls on Monday morning, said New York State Police.The accident occurred at 9:50 a.m. at 1491 Route  9 near the Hannaford Supermarket Plaza when the tractor-trailer driver hit the car, state police said. There were no injuries reported.

Two Injured In Ramapo Crash ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people were injured in a traffic crash around 8 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of New Hempstead Road and Summit Park Road, according to the Ramapo Police.One of the victims was suffering from chest pains and the other received minor facial lacerations, both were transported to Good Samaritan Hospital by Spring Hill Ambulance, police said. The power box to the traffic light was also damaged during the crash, causing it to quit working. The light was repaired by Verdi Electric.

Spring Valley Man, 26, Driving Erratically Was Drunk, Police Say SPRING VALLEY, N.Y. -- A Spring Valley man was busted for DWI after being stopped on Saturday for driving erratically on Route 45, according to Sheriff Louis Falco. Alexander Godoy, 26, was arrested after a sheriff's deputy observed him driving in an erratic manner round 4:47 a.m., said Chief William Barbera. During the stop, Godoy was found to be intoxicated and refused to comply with required procedures. He was charged with DWI and obstructing governmental administration, Barbera said.  He is being held at the Rockland County Jail on $2,500 bail.

The department received a call around 6 a.m. that a driver had lost control of his car and landed on top of a wall at the entrance to Vista Terrace, said Jack Casey, public information officer for the department. Ramapo Police Save Life Of Woman Who Overdosed ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Ramapo police saved an Airmont woman's life on Thursday who had overdosed on drugs, said the Ramapo Police Department.According to police, officers responded to a home in Airmont where they found the woman who was showing signs of an Oxycodone overdose. Officers quickly administered Narcan to the woman who became more responsive after receiving a single dose, police added. The woman was provided additional medical care by the Ramapo Valley Ambulance Corp and Rockland paramedics before being transported to Good Samaritan Hospital.
