Andrew Cuomo when he resigned in scandal, has a positive favorability rating among New Yorkers, according to a brand-new poll. The Siena College poll, released Tuesday, Sept. 14, found Hochul was viewed favorably by 42 percent of voters and unfavorably by 17 percent; with 41 percent still undecided. Man Struck, Killed By Car On Long Island Roadway Police are investigating a fatal overnight crash on Long Island. The accident took place in Nassau County around 10 p.m., Monday, Sept. 13, in East Meadow. According to detectives, a 34-year-old man was driving a 2000 Honda westbound on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Merrick Avenue and struck a man walking on the roadway. The man suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead, police said. The driver remained at the scene. The vehicle was brake and safety checked. Western Mass Woman Dies Hours After Being Shot, Police Say A woman has died hours after being found shot on street in the region. The unidentified Massachusetts woman was found shot in Hampden County around 2:50 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 11 on Vermont Street in Springfield. Body Found In CT Pond Police are investigating after a body was found in a Connecticut pond. The body of a man was found after Hartford Police received information regarding a body floating in a pond at Bushnell Park around 7:30 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 12.
