She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Police 'Concerned' About Missing Fairfield County Woman Police are asking the public for help locating a Fairfield County woman who has been missing for two days. Westport Police are searching for Tammy Lynn McQuillan, age 51, who is believed to have walked away from her from sometime after 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 7, and hasn't been seen since, said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana. McQuillan, who police say there are "concerned about," is described as being 5-foot-8, 300 to 350 pounds with dark hair. CT Woman Under Protective Order Held In Double-Homicide, Police Say Police arrested a Connecticut woman in connection with a double homicide. Hartford County resident Harlee Swols, age 22, of Enfield, was charged with violation of a protective order after she was located at the scene of the double murder around 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, Enfield Police Chief Alaric Fox said. According to Fox, officers were called to 17B Alden Ave. after receiving a 911 emergency call for a well-being check. Three Vehicles Stolen From Fairfield County Auto Dealership, Police Say Three vehicles were stolen from a Fairfield County auto dealership. Stratford Police said officers responded to a reported burglary at Blasius South, a dealership at 280 Ferry Blvd., around 4 a.m., Sunday, August 1, after an unknown person or group of people forced their way into the business. Possibly three cars were stolen from the dealership, said Capt. Frank Eannotti. He said the building was also damaged during the theft. The investigation is ongoing. CT State Police ID Man Found Shot To Death Inside Car In Wooded Area Police have identified a man whose body was found inside a vehicle in a wooded area of northern Connecticut. The body of Jason Comes, age 38, whose body was discovered in Tolland County in the town of Somers late Thursday, Aug. 5 on Durkee Road, Connecticut State Police announced. Somers is located near the Massachusetts border with Connecticut. Durkee Road is located about two miles from the Massachusetts border. Man Robs Long Island Gas Station At Gunpoint, Police Say Police are searching for an armed man who allegedly robbed a Long Island gas station at gunpoint. The incident took place around 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 8, at the Conoco Gas Station in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, a walked into the station, located 237-12 Linden Blvd., approached the victim who is an employee of the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. Trio Nabbed With Gun, Crack During Traffic Stop In Area, State Police Say Three people were arrested on alleged gun and drug charges following a traffic stop in the area by New York State Police. The arrests took place around 1:40 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3 in Orange County. Troopers stopped a 2019 Toyota Camry on South William Street in the city of Newburgh for a traffic violation. Outdoor Electrical Fire Damages Fairfield County Home A Fairfield County home was damaged during an outdoor electrical fire. The Westport Fire Department Emergency Communications Center received a report of a house fire on Compo Road South at 12:45 pm Thursday, Aug. 5, said Fire Chief Robert Yost. Man Accused Of Leaving Scene Of Fairfield County Crash, Police Say A Fairfield County man has been arrested for allegedly crashing a vehicle and leaving the scene. Emmanuel Segarra-Otero, age 30, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 6, after turning himself in to New Canaan in connection with the crash which took place on Saturday, June 12, on the Merritt Parkway, said New Canaan Police Lt. Kayaker Who Could Not Swim Rescued After Vessel Capsizes In Area Lake A kayaker who could not swim and had overturned his vessel was rescued by first responders in the area. The incident took place around noon on Wednesday, Aug. 4 Ulster County in the Town of Lloyd. Police received a 911 call for the capsized kayaker on Chodikee Lake near the boat launch, said Lloyd PD Chief James Janso.
