Double-Fatal Crash Also Injures Seven In Hudson Valley New York State Police are asking the public for help with dashcam video or witnesses to a fatal Hudson Valley crash that reportedly killed two and injured seven.  It happened around 7:10 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 4 in Orange County in the town of Wallkill, said Trooper Steven Nevel. The crash involved two vehicles, a Ford Escape and a Toyota Sienna, traveling eastbound on Route 17 near exit 119 and the Sands Road overpass, according to Nevel. Dump Truck Crash On Long Island Causes Fuel Spill A dump truck driver received minor injuries after ramming into the back of a tow truck, causing a diesel fuel spill on Long Island. Surveillance Helps Nab Fairfield County Man Wanted In Drive-By Shooting A Fairfield County man awaiting trial on assault charges has been arrested again in connection with an alleged shooting earlier this year. Dominique Jones, age 28, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Monday, Aug. 2, by the U.S. Marshalls Fugitive Task Force in connection with a shooting in February, said Scott Appleby, director of emergency management. The shooting occurred on the city's west side near the intersection of Maplewood Avenue and Howard Avenue, Appleby said.
