Police Asking Public For Help Locating Man Wanted In Shooting Death
Law enforcement officials are asking the public for help locating a suspect wanted on a warrant for the shooting death of a Hudson Valley man.
Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler announced on Thursday, June 10, 2021, Joshua Williams, age 31, has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a man in Newburgh in 2020.
Hoovler said Williams, of Newburgh, intentionally caused the death of Jamie Fincher, age 35, of Newburgh by shooting him with a loaded firearm on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.

Long Island Man Indicted For Sex Trafficking, Exploitation Of Minors
A "Bloods" gang member from Long Island has been charged with alleged sex trafficking, interstate prostitution, and child pornography.
Joshua Lampley-Reid, age 26, of West Hempstead, a member of the Makk Balla set of the Bloods, was arrested and Wednesday, June 9, and arraigned on the charges on Thursday, June 10, according to Mark J. Lesko, acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York.
Lampley-Reid was charged with sex trafficking, coercion, and enticement of minors, sexual exploitation of a minor, transportation of child pornography, and interstate prostitution.

CT Reinstates Alcohol Ban At Six State Parks Due To Parties, Unruly Behavior
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has re-imposed temporary alcohol bans for six state recreation areas.

Double CT Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured, Police Say
One man is dead and another is wounded after a double shooting in Connecticut.
The two men were found when Hartford Police officers responded to Kent Street for a report on a Shot Spotter activation around 5:29 p.m., Wednesday, June 9.
When officers arrived on the scene they found a crime scene, but no victims. Minutes later the department was informed by an area hospital that two victims had arrived for treatment of gunshot wounds, said Hartford PD Lt. Aaron Boisvert.

Woman Accused Of Stabbing Acquaintance To Death On Long Island
A Long Island woman has been arrested and charged with manslaughter for allegedly stabbing a man to death.
The incident took place around 2 a.m., Thursday, June 10, in Brentwood, said the Suffolk County Police.
According to police, a 911 caller reported a man was stabbed in an apartment on Second Avenue. When police arrived on the scene they located Antonio Rice, 56, of Brentwood, with stab wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Body Of 35-Year-Old Man Recovered In Hudson River, Police Say
The body of a man has been recovered after he fell into the Hudson River while walking along its edge with friends.
Orange County resident Maurice Pryce, age 35, fell into the water around 10 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, in the area of the Blue Pointe Restaurant, said City of Newburgh Police Lt. Joseph Burns.
When police arrived on the scene, several witnesses said they saw Pryce, of the City of Newburgh, fall off the dock into the water.
