Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Bicyclist Killed In Crash With Box Truck At Long Island Intersection A bicyclist was killed in a crash involving a box truck overnight on Long Island. It happened around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 in Copiague. Richard Zabielski, 67, of East Meadow, was driving the 1998 Chevrolet box truck southbound on Great Neck Road when the vehicle struck the bicyclist who was crossing Great Neck Road at the intersection of Railroad Avenue, Suffolk County Police said. Long Island Man Seriously Injured In Chain-Reaction, Five-Vehicle Crash A Long Island man was seriously injured in an early-morning chain-reaction crash involving five vehicles. It happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 in Smithtown. Covid-19: School In Westchester Closes For Two Weeks After Positive Case A school in the area has switched to remote learning for two weeks after a positive COVID-19 case. The Westchester School (formerly known as the Westchester School for Special Children) said it received a report of a positive COVID test at its Yonkers campus on Friday, Oct. 2.
