Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Man Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car On Long Island A pedestrian was seriously injured in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 10:40 p.m. in Elmont. While attempting to cross Meacham Avenue at E Street, a 66-year-old man was struck by 2007 Mazda that was being driven by a 59-year-old man, Nassau County Police said. The driver, who called 911, remained at the scene.  As a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Woman Killed In Fiery Long Island Crash A woman was killed in a fiery, single-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened on Sunday, Sept. 27 at 4:10 p.m. in Roosevelt. While traveling westbound in a 2020 Toyota Rav4 on Hudson Avenue, between Elysian Terrace and North Long Beach Avenue, an unidentified female operator left the roadway and struck a tree, Nassau County Police said.  As a result of the collision her car became fully engulfed in flames, according to police. Alert Issued For Missing 15-Year-Old Long Island Girl A 15-year-old Long Island girl has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating her. Kayla Sarduy was last seen leaving her Manhasset home at 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26.  Kayla has brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5-foot-4, 130 pounds and was wearing dark-colored jeans.  Her probable destination is possibly in the Hempstead area.  Detectives request anyone with information regarding her whereabouts call the Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or 911. Long Island Man Critically Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash A Long Island man was critically injured in a single-vehicle early morning crash. Joseph Aiello, 43, was driving a 2001 Nissan Maxima in Port Jefferson Station southbound on Jayne Boulevard when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree at the intersection with Roe Avenue at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, Suffolk County Police said.
