Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Westchester, Rockland A Severe Thunderstorm Watch that includes Westchester and Putnam is now in effect until 10 p.m. Thursday. The watch was issued by the National Weather Service shortly after 5 p.m. Some thunderstorms could produce gusty winds in excess of 50 miles per hour, with scattered gusts up to 70 mph, as well as frequent lightning, hail and downpours that could result in ponding of water or poor drainage flooding. Strong Storms With Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds Headed To Hudson Valley Extreme heat and humidity in the Hudson Valley will usher in rounds of torrential thunderstorms with heavy rain and gusty winds Thursday night through this weekend, according to AccuWeather.com. Car Crashes Down Embankment, Causing Taconic Parkway Delays This story has been updated. A multi-vehicle crash in which one of the cars involved went down an embankment caused gridlock on a stretch of the northbound Taconic State Parkway late Wednesday afternoon into the early evening. The crash, reported just after 4 p.m., occurred between Route 134 and the Croton Reservoir Bridge near the Ossining/Yorktown border. The crash initially resulted in the closure of two of three lanes. New Details Emerge After Man In Critical Condition Found Shot On I-95 A 24-year-old man remains hospitalized and in critical condition after he was found on the shoulder of I-95 Tuesday, leading to the hours-long closure of all northbound lanes, as state police released more details about the incident, including the crash involved in the incident. Have You Seen It? Police ID Vehicle, Victim In I-95 Shooting Incident This story has been updated. State police have identified the shooting victim of the incident that led to the Tuesday evening hours-long closure of a stretch of northbound I-95 in Mamaroneck while also providing a description of the vehicle involved.
