PJ Angele Of Flemington Dies, 31
Paul "PJ" Angele of Flemington died on July 30 at Phoenixville Hospital Tower Health in Chester, PA. He was 31 years old. PJ graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School (Class of 2008) and had been working as a handyman for Happy Homes Maintenance the last two years, his obituary says. His obituary remembers him as the life of the party, with a passion for hiking, tattoos and the great outdoors. Committal was private.

HIM? Police Searching For Boy Who Ran Away From Newark Hospital
Authorities in Newark are searching for a boy who they say ran away from a hospital last month. Treshawn Daniels, 14, walked out of University Hospital while being transported by his DC&P worker to a group home July 28, police said. The teen changed his clothes and then fled. He was apparently wearing black shorts and gray/yellow sneakers and a red hoodie. According to MissingKids.Org, Treshawn could be in Atlantic County, Bayonne, or Jersey City.

Authorities ID Driver Killed In Newark Crash With NJ Transit Bus
A 33-year-old woman died and several others were injured in a crash between a vehicle and NJ Transit bus early Tuesday in Newark, authorities said. The Bloomfield-bound bus was struck head-on by a westbound 2007 Chevy Impala while going east on Hawthorne Avenue near Clinton Place around 5:30 a.m., NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said. Paige N. At least two New Jersey restaurants have announced a new policy requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccines for customers. The first to do so was "It's Greek to Me" in Ridgewood, as reported by NJ.com. Tropical Storm Fred Expected To Bring Several Inches Of Rain, Flash Flooding To North Jersey
Remnants of Tropical Storm Fred is expected to bring three to five inches of rain to northwestern parts of New Jersey, meteorologists say. Flash flooding is possible in counties along the Delaware River, the National Weather Service reports. The rain is expected late Wednesday into Thursday morning, when the storm will make its way toward New England. Parts of Hunterdon, Morris, Sussex and Warren counties are expected to see the most rain, while other areas will likely only see about 1.5 inches of rain, according to the NWS. NJ Corrections Officer Dies In Route 55 Crash, PA Driver Seriously Injured
A 25-year-old man died when a car struck his vehicle while stopped in the shoulder of Route 55, authorities said. Joshua Beardsworth, of Pittsgrove Township, was stopped in his BMW on the right shoulder of the highway when a car -- also on the northbound side -- struck him in Vineland around 7:40 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. The 27-year-old driver from Lansdale, PA -- Trevor Annunziata, who was driving a Volkswagon -- was hospitalized with serious injuries, while Beardsworth was killed. Police Seek Man In Assault Of NJ Transit Bus Driver Over Used Ticket
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man who authorities say assaulted an NJ Transit bus driver who wouldn't accept a used ticket. Sulaiman Boyer, 34, and another man got on the bus that stopped at Lenox Street and Sanford Avenue July 21 around 7:15 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara said. The driver told arriving officers that one of the two men gave him a ticket that had already been used. DA: Lehigh County Nursing Home Worker Kicked Patient, 91, In Head
A Lehigh County nursing home employee was charged with assaulting a 91-year-old combative patient. Fellowship Manor employee Julian Bailey, 48, of Whitehall, kicked the patient twice in the head on June 17, the Lehigh County district attorney's office said. The alleged incident was reported by a witness. The patient apparently had an injury on the side of his head consistent with the allegations, authorities said. Authorities have released a composite sketch of a man who they say impersonated police and pulled over New Jersey drivers. A victim was stopped by a man in a black, older model Ford Crown Victoria and activated a blue dome light on the front dashboard in Brick Township around 2 p.m. on Aug. 1, New Jersey State Police said.
