Columbia Native Makenzie Rynn Dies After Valiant Cancer Battle, 27 Columbia native Makenzie Rynn died on Jan. 4, 2023 after a valiant cancer battle, according to her obituary. Macknezie graduated with honors from Seton Keough High School and went on to study at Florida Atlantic University before earning her degree in behavior psychology in May 2022. She played soccer and worked as a fitness instructor and intern during college, her obituary reads. Man Charged With Aggravated Manslaughter In Irvington Killing A 32-year-old man has been charged with aggravated manslaughter and a weapons offense in the death of a 37-year-old Irvington man. Jonathan Quallis shot Ibn Vincent on the 400 block of Union Avenue around 7:35 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and Irvington Police Director Tracy Bowers said. Police arrived and found Vincent suffering from gunshot wounds. Missing Dad Was Brutally Stabbed, Left For Dead In Drug Deal Gone Bad: Prince William PD A drug deal gone wrong led to the brutal stabbing death of a Virginia dad whose blood-stained car was ditched in Prince William County, and his body in Prince George's County, MD. NASA Rocket Launch Will Be Visible Across East Coast On Jan. 23 A mission dubbed "Virginia is for Launch Lovers" is set for Monday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. And the rocket itself, the first of its kind, will be visible across the East Coast. Tenant Finds Man's Body After Fall Down Stairs In Cliffside Park: Police The body of a 32-year-old man who took a fatal fall down the stairs of a Cliffside Park building was found by a tenant on Thursday, Jan. 19, according to police and Daily Voice sources. The tenant on the 200 block of Walker Street made the discovery around 10:22 a.m., and called police, Cliffside Park Deputy Chief Vincent Capano said. The man was reportedly homeless and often snuck into the building to sleep downstairs, Capano said. He battles alcoholism and other various medical issues for years, the deputy chief added. The man's body was taken to the Medical Examiner's office.

Man Made Teen Sexually Abuse 4-Year-Old, Record It: Hudson Prosecutor A 31-year-old Hudson County man was arrested on various charges after authorities say he instructed a 13-year-old boy to sexually abuse a 4-year-old girl child and send him recordings of it.
