Young Pennsylvania Cheerleader Raeann Merlino Dies After RSV, Influenza Battle
Raeann Merlino, a fifth grader from West Pittston, died after being hospitalized on Thanksgiving Day with a combination of RSV and influenza, those who knew her said. She was 10 years old.
Rae was rushed to CHOP as the illnesses wreaked havoc on her vital organs, according to a GoFundMe page launched the girl's family. She died on Sunday, Dec. 4.
According to her obituary, Rae was a student in the Wyoming Area School District, who loved twirling and dancing.

Two truck drivers were hospitalized in a fiery crash late Friday, Dec. 9 on Route 78 in Hunterdon County, authorities said.
An Amazon truck and cement truck both erupted in flames in the 10 p.m. crash in Bethlehem Township around 9:50 p.m. at mile marker 8.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. Both truck were empty.

Full Body Burns Kill Bucks Man Torching Trash: Coroner
A man lighting trash on fire suffered burns across more than half of his body, ultimately killing him, according to the Lehigh County coroner.
Lutz K. Wundshock, 59, of Durham Township, was torching the trash around 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at his home, the coroner's office said.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. the following day.
The manner of death was accidental, having sustained 58% full thickness burns to the body, officials said.
