Cause Of Death Revealed For Grant Wahl After his brother backtracked suspicions of foul play in his death, Grant Wahl's wife announced the true cause on Wednesday, Dec. 14. Wahl, the Princeton University grad who died in his seat while covering the World Cup in Qatar, suffered an aortic aneurysm, his wife, Celine Grounder, said on “CBS Mornings." “It’s just one of those things that had been likely brewing for years,” she said. Some Details Released In Fatal North Bergen Pedestrian Crash A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on Friday, Dec. 9 on Tonnelle Avenue, authorities said. The woman was struck by a tractor trailer driver near 91st Street around noon, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said. Responding officers found the lifeless body of a woman and she was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer, a 38-year-old Texas man, continued on Tonnelle Avenue, stopped in the area of 68th Street, and called 911. No arrests had been made as of Saturday morning.

Hot Coffee Thrown In Face Of Jersey School Security Guard By Woman Being Asked To Leave A Jersey City school security guard had hot coffee thrown in his face by a woman being asked to leave the premises on Friday, Dec. 9, authorities said. The incident happened around 8:10 a.m. at Public School No. 23 on Romain Avenue, city spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. The security guard refused medical attention. It was unclear if any charges had been filed.
