Multiple Shooters Open Fire Wounding 9 Victims In Philadelphia: Police Nine people were hospitalized including four in critical condition when multiple shooters opened fire in Philadelphia this weekend, authorities said. Multiple shooters sprung out of a black car and fired off more than 40 rounds around 10:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, police said. All victims, ranging in age from 23 to 40, were hospitalized. "I'm appalled and devastated by this despicable, brazen act of gun violence," Mayor Jim Kenney said in a tweet. "My heart is with the family and loved ones of those injured, and with everyone impacted by this tragedy."

NASA Rocket Launch Will Be Visible In NJ A NASA rocket set to launch early Monday, Nov. 7 will be visible along the East Coast. The Northrop Grumman’s Antares rocket and Cygnus cargo spacecraft had initially been set to launch Sunday, Nov. 6, but were postponed due to a fire alarm at Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus spacecraft control center in Dulles, VA. Monday's launch is set for 5:27 a.m., EST. A color-coded map from NASA shows where the rocket will be most visible (see above). Man's Body Pulled From Passaic River A 49-year-old man's body was pulled from the Passaic River over the weekend, officials say. The recovery was made around 7:40 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 when Kearny police got reports of a man drowning, Belleville police tell various news outlets. A recovery effort was launched near the Rutgers Street Bridge in Belleville. There were no apparent signs of injury and an autopsy was pending. The Newark man's identity was not being released.

Pedestrian Fatally Struck By Train In Princeton A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train in Princeton Friday, Nov. 4, authorities said. Northeast Corridor train 3953, which had left form Penn station New York, struck the victim around 6:35 p.m. at Princeton Junction station, NJ Transit officials said. No injuries were reported to the customers or the crew on board. Northeast Corridor service was temporarily suspended in both directions but has since resumed.   Amtrak police were leading the investigation with assistance from New Jersey Transit Police.
