Creepy Bergen Starbucks Patron Tells Boy Not To Speak To Strangers
Police are urging vigilance after a rambling man told a boy inside of a Bergen County Starbucks not to speak to strangers. The man in his 40s with light-colored hair was making little sense and acting in a bizarre manner, in a recording taken by the boy inside of the Rock Road Starbucks in Glen Rock, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said. The incident that occurred on Friday, Nov. 4 around 2:10 p.m. was not reported until well after the individual left the store, the chief said. Woman Instructed To Shoot Paterson Victim Misses, 2 Charged With Attempted Murder: Prosecutor
A Pennsylvania woman and a Newark woman have both been charged with attempted murder after one handed the other a gun, instructing her to shoot at a 31-year-old female victim who was not struck over the weekend in Paterson, authorities said. NJ Hotel Bomb Threat Investigation Leads Officers To Man With Crystal Meth: Authorities
Authorities investigating a bomb threat at a North Jersey hotel were led to a man with crystal meth — but he wasn't the person who called in the threat, police say. A female placed a call to Secaucus police on Monday, Oct. 31 around 9:35 p.m., reporting a possible bomb on the premises of Harmony Suites on Plaza Drive, Chief Dennis Miller said. While the threat was deemed unfounded, police found 26-year-old Christopher Geary, of Hewitt, in possession of crystal meth, Miller said. Geary was charged on a summons and released. $10K Mega Millions Winner Sold At Gas Station In NJ's Largest City
A Mega Millions ticket winning $10,000 was sold in New Jersey's largest city. The winning numbers for the Friday, Nov 4, drawing were: 02, 20, 47, 55 and 59. The Gold Mega Ball was 19, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02. The winning ticket was purchased from 66 Bloomfield Petroleum LLC on Bloomfield Avenue, in Newark. In addition to the third-tier prize won, 18 players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500. One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier, multiplying the prize to $1,000.

Rutgers Econ Student Joseph Guaman Dies In Crash, 22
Newark native and Rutgers University graduate Joseph Guaman died in a car accident on Oct. 26, according to his obituary. He was 22 years old. Joseph was studying economics at Rutgers University, where he served as the president and director of the university's investing club, his obit says. He also founded startup company Traders Capital, and was passionate about financial markets. Humble and soft-spoken was how Joseph was being remembered in his obituary. A 93-year-old man was struck and killed by a vehicle in East Orange, authorities said. Earnest Green was struck at the intersection of South Arlington Avenue and Central Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens II and East Orange Police Chief Phyllis Bindi said. Green was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:31 a.m. Sunday. A 27-year-old woman died and three others were hospitalized by a DUI driver who was driving erratically over the weekend in Lower Mount Bethel Township, authorities said.
