Man, 71, Charged In Hit, Run In On Route 9D GARRISON, N.Y. -- Ricardo McKay, a 71-year-old New City resident, was arrested and charged by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office Friday with allegedly striking a cyclist on Route 9D and leaving the scene.  McKay is accused of hitting a 52-year-old Cold Spring woman with his car as she was riding her bike in Garrison Wednesday afternoon, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. He was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a Class A misdemeanor and unsafe passing of a bicycle, a traffic infraction. Cyclist Sideswiped In Hit, Run In Garrison GARRISON, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a cyclist said she was sideswiped by a gray vehicle that then kept driving on Route 9D in Garrison Wednesday afternoon. Captain William McNamara of the sheriff's office said they received a 911 call at 2 p.m. about the cyclist being struck near the intersection of Old Manitou Road and Lawes Lane. The car continued on Route 9D. The cyclist refused medical attention and the case remains under investigation, McNamara said.

Man Found Dead On Route 133 Was Killed In Yonkers OSSINING, N.Y. -- Luis Blanco, the 62-year-old Yonkers resident who was found dead on Route 133 in Ossining in August was originally killed in Yonkers, police said. Blanco sustained several stab wounds to his neck and torso and was shot in the head, police said, in an incident that occurred north of Yonkers Avenue. Joaquin Recinos-Garcia, a 27-year-old Yonkers resident. was charged with second-degree murder.
