Funeral Services Set For 26-Year-Old Yorktown Woman Struck, Killed By Car YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Brittany Mastropolo, a 26-year-old Yorktown Heights resident who died after being hit by a car Friday in Valhalla, will be laid to rest Wednesday. Mastropolo's funeral is 11:15 a.m. at Old Stone Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. A wake is being held Tuesday at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mastropolo was struck and killed by a car near Pat's Deli. A GoFundMe page has been established and 280 people have donated $26,501 in two days. The Furci family is hoping to raise $40,000. Furci initially had nausea, and a loss of energy and appetite. A lump on her stomach was determined to be a tumor that grew to 2.5 lbs and was removed from her abdomen. Westchester Resident Hikes Appalachian Trail ARMONK, N.Y. -- Eddie Paniccia's feet are still sore from the hike of a lifetime. The Armonk resident recently spent the last four months hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. Paniccia was inspired by the Bill Bryson book, "A Walk in the Woods," which was recently turned into a movie.
