Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Martin Film Show At Westchester Diner PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Martin walk into the Pleasantville Diner.... The two comedy legends were at the Pleasantville Diner on Wednesday filming an episode of Seinfeld's online show "Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee." The show follows Seinfeld and another celebrity as they take one of Seinfeld's cars to a coffee shop to chat. Former Westchester Resident Paul W. Jones Appointed To Top Diplomatic Post YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A former Yorktown Heights resident has become a top diplomat. Paul W. Jones, who grew up in Yorktown Heights, was recently named Ambassador to Poland, having previously served as Ambassador to Malaysia. Jones was appointed by President Barack Obama, confirmed by the Senate and sworn in Friday by Secretary of State John Kerry. The ambassador has been all over the world since he left Yorktown. Funeral Services Set For 26-Year-Old Yorktown Woman Struck, Killed By Car YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Brittany Mastropolo, a 26-year-old Yorktown Heights resident who died after being hit by a car Friday in Valhalla, will be laid to rest Wednesday. Mastropolo's funeral is 11:15 a.m. at Old Stone Patrick's Church in Yorktown Heights. A wake is being held Tuesday at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mastropolo was struck and killed by a car near Pat's Deli. Tendy Gratified Over Victory In District Attorney Primary PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Bob Tendy said his victory in Thursday's Republican primary for district attorney over two-term incumbent Adam Levy was very rewarding. With 100 percent of the vote in, Tendy defeated Levy 1,361 votes to 1,094 votes, 55.26 percent to 44.42 percent, according to unofficial results from the Putnam County Board of Elections. GoFundMe Page Set Up For Yorktown Girls Lacrosse Player Battling Cancer YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- The Yorktown community is coming together for Brielle Furci, a 15-year-old girls lacrosse standout who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer. A GoFundMe page has been established and 280 people have donated $26,501 in two days. The Furci family is hoping to raise $40,000. Furci initially had nausea, and a loss of energy and appetite. Westchester Resident Hikes Appalachian Trail ARMONK, N.Y. -- Eddie Paniccia's feet are still sore from the hike of a lifetime. The Armonk resident recently spent the last four months hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. Paniccia was inspired by the Bill Bryson book, "A Walk in the Woods," which was recently turned into a movie.
