Eyewear Company To Get $1.32 Million In Tax Credits In Move To Sloatsburg SLOATSBURG, N.Y. -- Designer eyewear company Warby Parker will get as much as $1.32 million in tax credits via Empire State Development, New York's economic development agency, according to lohud.com.The company will construct a new optical lab in Sloatsburg, which will create 128 jobs over the next five years, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday. The new, 34,000-square-foot optical lab is the first that Warby Parker will fully own. Brookfield Handy Dandy Handyman Charity Seeks Help To Keep Operating BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- Over $2,300 has been raised to date for a Brookfield-based charity Handy Dandy Handyman since launching a campaign on Crowdrise, the social-fundraising platform.The plea asks for help to save the ministry from extinction.  The charity founded in 2000 by Peter Brady and wife Carol Ann repairs homes for those less fortunate at no cost to the clients.
