Shelton Parade Pays Tribute To World War II Veteran SHELTON, Conn. -- The Derby-Shelton Memorial Day parade honored Roy Glover, 94, who served in World War II, reported Fox 61.Glover's service was from 1941 to 1945 in the Marines and he fought on Okinawa, said the report. Glover was given the honor by the area VFW post to toss a Memorial Day wreath into the Housatonic River from the Derby-Shelton Bridge, according to Fox 61.
