Teens Learn Fashion Design In Somers Library Workshop SOMERS, N.Y. -- A Teen Fashion Workshop is offered Fridays March 4 to May 13 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Somers Library in Katonah.The class is for teens in grades 6 and up. There is a minimal supply list for the class and registration is required. Participants must bring the following: lots of fashion magazines to use for collages. Man Charged In DWI Following Greenwich Accident GREENWICH, Conn. -- A driver was charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash at Ritch Avenue and Byram Shore Road in Greenwich on Wednesday, Feb. 24, Greenwich Time reported.Tomas Diaz of Port Chester, N.Y., was additionally ticketed for not having evidence of insurance and for not staying in his lane, according to Greenwich Time. Stamford Man Charged With Stalking Waitress STAMFORD, Conn. -- A city man was charged with stalking and harassing a 17-year-old waitress, according to the Stamford Advocate. The accused, Victor Obregon, 43, reportedly has a tattoo of the girl's name, reported the Stamford Advocate. The girl, who reportedly waited on him a few times, and her mother reported the man to police in the middle of January, alleging that he followed her, the Stamford Advocate said. Small Weight Loss Can Lead To Big Benefits, Says New Study People who are obese but lose just 5 percent of their weight can slash their risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease and increase their "metabolic function," according to a study in the New York Times. Individuals that lose 5 percent to 10 percent of their body weight benefit health-wise, said the New York Times. Kupchick Calls For Testimony On Affordable Housing In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — A public hearing is set for residents to testify on the state affordable housing statutes on Tuesday, March 1 in Hartford, according to an announcement by state Rep.
