Connecticut Gas Prices Drop As National Numbers Bump Up
FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- As average gas prices continue to drop in Connecticut, the national average has bumped up four cents since last week, according to AAA’s weekly survey. Monday's national price of a gallon of gas averaged $1.75, 6 cents lower than last month and 65 cents lower than last year, AAA said. But compared with last week, prices inched up 4 cents.
In Connecticut, where prices continue to drop, the average price of $1.86 per gallon was 13 cents lower than last month and 59 cents lower than last year, AAA said. Compared to last week, the price Monday hasn't moved.

Foreign Languages Celebrated At Peekskill High School
PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- An array of activities are planned during the upcoming 11th Annual National Foreign Language Week being celebrated Monday, March 7 to Friday, March 11at Peekskill High School.A slate of foreign films, including "The Chorus" (French) and "The Children of Heaven (Iran) will be shown to students, there will be a an international food festival, and dance lessons will highlight the week.
