Goldens Bridge Troop Members Earn Eagle Scout Awards GOLDENS BRIDGE, N.Y. -- Three Boy Scouts of Goldens Bridge Troop 154 were formally ranked as Eagle Scouts at a Court of Honor ceremony Dec. 16, according to the Lewisboro Ledger. The Eagle Scouts are Matt Salton, Dunlin Stathis, both seniors at John Jay High School, and Matthew Galea, a Fordham Prep senior, reports the Lewisboro Ledger. Bergen County Freeholders Announce $1.2M Fort Lee, Montvale Housing Project FORT LEE, N.J. -- The Bergen County Board of Chosen Freeholders Wednesday passed several resolutions allocating approximately $1.2 million in Community Development funds for various housing projects in Fort Lee and Montvale.The funds will provide homes for veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities, according to a press release. The sources of funding for these projects are grants from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the press release says. Peter Lanni and Cornelia Gallo, parents of Christopher J. Lanni, 14, publicly expressed their concerns regarding their son's Dec. 23 suicide by providing the media with a letter to Landon requesting an investigation, the Westport News said. Valley United Way Approves Special Needs Grants To Shelton Nonprofits SHELTON, Conn. -- Valley United Way’s Board of Directors recently approved close to $40,000 in special needs grants for 12 Shelton-area agencies.  The allocated funds are earmarked for special needs and programs not normally covered by an agency’s regular budget and the funds come from funds designated by donors for particular areas of need.
