Mayor's Brother Resigns From Fire Department After Gun Charges Revealed MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Information has come to light from court papers that the half-brother of Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas entered a guilty plea related to gun charges then quit his job as a city firefighter, said lohud.com.The mayor told lohud. com that the actions of Henry-George Thomas stem from a "medical challenge," lohud.com said.
