Owner Of O'Donoghue's Tavern Plans New Restaurant In Nyack NYACK, N.Y. -- When O'Donoghue's Tavern in Nyack closed in April after 55 years in business, customers expressed sadness, says lohud.com. Local regulars called it O'Ds, and the establishment drew a diverse patronage to its casual space, the report says. And while customers wondered what Kevin O'Donoghue, who still owned the building intended, he revealed in October that the space would be occupied by a new restaurant, says the article. Ossining Police Assist In Filming Of Nbc-tv's 'Law & Order: SVU' OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining police officers were assigned to the set of a "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit" episode production in the village on Tuesday night. They participated in filming of the television show at the riverfront and used Marine 1, the Ossining Police Boat as a prop. The episode is set to air on or around Feb. 8. The show, which airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC-TV, is about detectives of the NYPD's Special Victims Unit that investigate crimes against the vulnerable.

Roland Faucher Sr., 87, Of Shrub Oak SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Roland Faucher Sr., 87, of Shrub Oak, died Monday, Dec. 14. Faucher was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Providence, R.I., to Leo and Laura Faucher. On Sept. 6, 1949, he married Dorothy Geddes. Faucher was head of the Credit Union, working there for 52 years. The Credit Union opened a new building naming it "The Roland H. Faucher Sr. Credit Union." New Round Of Rain, Fog Will Arrive In White Plains The clear skies will be giving way to rain with some areas of fog during a 24-hour stretch starting Wednesday evening. Taxi Companies Gouged Train Passengers After Fatal Crash, State AG Says New York Attorney General Eric Scheinderman has reached a settlement with two local taxi companies for violating New York's price gouging laws in the aftermath of the fatal Valhalla Metro-North train crash in February, Schneiderman announced Wednesday.
