Marcus Gilbert's 32 Points Leads Fairfield U. To Big Victory FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield University men's basketball team won its second game of the season with senior Marcus Gilbert scoring a career high 32 points.The team's 113 total points in the 113-74 victory over Maryland Eastern Shore is also the highest in head coach Sydney Johnson's career. Bethel Cycle Closing Up Shop After 16 Years BETHEL, Conn. -- It's the end of a memorable 16-year run for Greg Pelican, owner of Bethel Cycle who announced on Facebook that he is closing his shop."For 16 years Bethel Cycle has been my life," Pelican said in the post. "I have given it my all." The shop is a fixture in town, but business has eroded quickly over the past few years, Pelican says. Norwalk Police Warn Of IRS Phone Scam NORWALK, Conn. -- Police are warning Norwalk residents to be suspicious if someone calls you saying they are an "IRS agent" claiming you owe money to the Internal Revenue Service.It's a scam, according to the Norwalk Department of Police Service.
