Former Poughkeepsie City School Teacher Charged With Rape Of Student
DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A former English teacher at Tri-Valley Schools in Sullivan County who taught briefly in Poughkeepsie has been charged with having sex with a student, according to the New York State Police.Investigators from the Sullivan County Family Violence Response Team and Liberty barracks arrested Jason Horton, 31, of Maybrook, N.Y., charging him with three counts of rape in the third degree, a felony, and one count of third degree criminal sexual act, a felony, said police.

Police Locate Two Missing Upstate Teens
Update, Thursday, 4:30 p.m.
AFTON, N.Y. -- New York State Police report that missing teens Lindsey Seymour, 15, and Charles Weed, 17, have been located and are safe.
The two were located in the Binghamton area and are in good health, police said.

Connecticut Unemployment Rate Falls To 5.1%, Lowest Since Before Recession
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Connecticut's unemployment rate dropped a tenth of a point to 5.1 percent in October, its lowest level since March 2008, before the start of the Great Recession, the state Department of Labor reported Thursday.
