Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Jersey Shore Burn Victims Airlifted To Hospital Police, firefighters and EMS crews in Ocean County were called to help a pair of burn victims, authorities said. The emergency call came in about 3 p.m. on Wednesday at 112 Woehr Ave. in Lakewood, according to initial reports.  At least one of the burn victims was a child and a Medevac helicopter was called to transport the patient to St. Barnabas Medical Center, according to an unconfirmed report.  It was unclear how the victims were burned.  This is a developing news story. Toms River Teen Impaled By Javelin A teenager from the Jersey Shore was hospitalized after being impaled by a javelin at a track-and-field event, authorities said.  Firefighters in Toms River were called to cut the javelin without vibration before taking the victim to the hospital, initial reports said.  It was unclear whether the boy was a student observer or an athlete participating in the event. Bucks County Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 11-Year-Old Child, Authorities Say A 31-year-old man from Bucks County has been arrested on charges that he sexually assaulted a minor when he was 18 years old, authorities said.
