Security Training Exercises Planned For Indian Point BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- A security training will be held at Indian Point Energy Center on Thursday. The training drills will involve simulated attack scenarios intended to be as realistic as possible, Entergy, which runs Indian Point, said. Members of the public may hear what appears to be gunfire from simulated weapons systems used during the exercises, Entergy said. Yorktown Man Possesses Controlled Substances While Driving, Police Say YORKTOWN, N.Y.-- A traffic infraction led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Yorktown man after police found him in possession of Suboxone and Alprazolam Saturday. Joseph Stingone was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a Class A misdemeanor. Police said they initially pulled him over after they observed him crossing a double yellow line. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on July 25. Police did not say where the incident occurred.
