Poughkeepsie Superintendent Accuses School District Of 'Emotional Distress' The Poughkeepsie City School District Superintendent is thinking of suing her own school board. Superintendent Nicole Williams has filed a notice of claim against the board for $1 million, citing "emotional distress." In the claim,  Williams' attorney, Stanley Silverstone, the board's actions have cost her $13,567 in legal fees and irreparable harm to her reputation. Man Possesses Xanax While Driving On Route 6, Yorktown Police Say A 23-year-old Mahopac resident was arrested and charged with possessing Xanax after a traffic stop on Route 6 early Wednesday morning. Shane McDonald was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a Class A Misdemeanor and driving with a suspended license.
