Friday Night Jazz, Blues, More Return To Yonkers Waterfront YONKERS, N.Y. -- Now celebrating its tenth year, the Free Friday Night Jazz, Blues and More on the Waterfront Series is back in Yonkers.The 12-week series takes place every Friday evening, rain or shine from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in June, July and August, at the Yonkers Downtown Waterfront Amphitheatre.  Click here for the full 2016 line up. This year, the lineup features Grammy nominee Gil Parris, “The Voice” runner-up Nicholas David, and the JT Project. There will also be a special tribute by Jazzmeia Horn to the late Ella Fitzgerald, who was raised in Yonkers .

Bulldog Day Brings Together Main Street School Students IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- As part of the annual Bulldog Day, fourth and fifth graders at Main Street School worked together in cooperative team building activities. Throughout the morning of May 12, they exhibited teamwork and good sportsmanship as they moved through six different stations that included obstacle courses, relays, tug of war and Capture the Flag.  “Dressed in green and white, students showed their Bulldog pride,” physical education teacher Laura Shaw said. “It was a fantastic and memorable event for all students and staff.”
