Rockland Cyclists Honor Riders Who Were Injured Or Killed CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A group of cyclists are beginning a ride Wednesday evening outside the courthouse in downtown New City as part of the Rockland Bicycle Club's national Ride of Silence observance in remembrance of riders injured or killed cycling on public roadways, according to lohud.com. The ride takes place annually on the third Wednesday of may and happens in single file and silence, according to lohud.com. Putnam Hosting Public Hearing On Mental Health BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell, Commissioner Michael J. Piazza Jr. and the Putnam Community Services Board announced that a Public Hearing for the 2017 Local Government Plan for Mental Health Services to be held on Thursday, May 26 at 3 p.m. at the Mental Health Association. The Public Hearing will feature a review of the 2017 LGU Plan and a discussion of the objectives. They will also discuss needs and gaps in services. There will be an opportunity for anyone in the county to comment on the plan at the meeting that is open to the public.
