Mahopac American Legion Post Schedules Golf Outing MAHOPAC, N.Y. -- American Legion Mahopac Post 1080 will hold a golf outing Monday, Aug. 24, at the Mahopac Golf Club  601 N. Lake Boulevard. The event will include cart, lunch and beverages on the course, raffles, prizes, a 50/50 drawing and a chance to win a "hole-in-one" Toyota. At 4 p.m., there will be a one-hour open bar with appetizers, followed by dinner at American Legion Mahopac Post 1080. Yonkers' Sacred Heart Junior Olympians Excel At Nationals YONKERS, N.Y. -- The Notre Dame Track Club of Sacred Heart Grade School in Yonkers competed at the National Junior Olympics Championships in Jacksonville, Fla., from July 27 to Aug. 2, and the team took home several medals. Jaden Snow, a fourth-grader, won a fifth-place medal in the triathlon with bests of 26 ½ feet in the shot put, 4 feet 1 ½ inches in the high jump, and 1:09 in the 400 meters. Lefervoich was born Nov. 6, 1931, to  John and Anna (Capko) Leferovich. In 1953, he graduated from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
