Undercover Operation Nets Four Arrests On Long Island For Selling Alcohol To Minors, Police Say
In an effort to reduce the sale of alcohol to underage children on Long Island, police conducted an investigation into retail establishments.
The undercover operation held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, was organized by the Riverhead Police Department's Cope Division in cooperation with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program.
The following employees were arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child;

Boyfriend Of Missing New York Woman Has Disappeared, Police Say
The parents of a man who has been declared a “person of interest” in the disappearance of a New York woman missing for weeks told police they hadn’t seen him in days, a police spokesman said.
Long Island native Brian Laundrie, age 23, now of North Port, Florida, the boyfriend of Gabby Petito of Blue Point, in Suffolk County has not been seen since Tuesday, Sept. 14, said police.
According to the North Port Police, detectives went to the home of Laundrie on Friday, Sept. 17, after his parents summoned them to their home.

Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree On CT Roadway
Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help in regards to a single-vehicle crash that left an area man dead.
It happened about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, in Windham County, on Route 66, in the Town of Windham, according to state police.
Following the crash, Fernandez Felix Salgado, 54, of Chaplin, in Windham County was taken to Windham Hospital, where he later was pronounced dead.
According to state police, Salgado was driving a 1997 Honda Accord when the car veered left, crossed the lane of eastbound traffic, and slammed into a tree.

Police Officer Accused Of Breaking Into Children's Camp In Hudson Valley
A police officer has been arrested for allegedly breaking into and damaging property at a children's camp in the Hudson Valley.
On Wednesday, Sept. 15, the New York State Police in conjunction with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Matthew E. McGrath, age 37, of Middletown in Orange County, for breaking into and damaging property at the Camp Young Judaea on Sprout Lake Camp Road in the town of Union Vale.
McGrath, an officer with the NYPD, was charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of criminal mischief, Trooper AJ Hicks said.
