Armonk Students Create Prosthetic Hand Using 3D Printers ARMONK, N.Y. -- Byram Hills High School students are making prosthetic hands using 3D printers in a robotics class that is now part of the regular curriculum. Students recently learned about prosthetic limbs and the role 3D printers can play in providing them when retired Col. George Parness, Former Suffern Mayor, Dies At 90 SUFFERN, N.Y. – George Parness, former Suffern Mayor and legislature, died in South Carolina on Tuesday – 15 months after his wife's death, reported lohud.com. He was 90.  Parness served five two-year terms as mayor of Suffern and two four-year terms on the Rockland Legislature, and is remembered for increasing the police and fire department presence in Suffern, reported lohud.com.  He is survived by sons, Adam and Andrew; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. New SAT Will Look A Lot Different From Current Version The SATs will have a new look in March to more accurately reflect what students are learning in school, reported The New York Times.  The SATs will have to section instead of three: Math and Evidence-Based Reading and Writing. The questions will be drawn from Common Core, which most states use. The SAT's will become more similar to the ACT's, said The New York Times.  The new theme for both sections will be – more reading. He was 85.  Lindenberg was born May 21, 1930, in the Bronx.  Funeral Services will be at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 at Hellman Memorial Chapels, 15 State St., Spring Valley, with Rabbi Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road, Elmont.
