Brookfield Budget Faces Referendum In July BROOKFIELD, Conn. -- The Brookfield capital budget will face a referendum in July, according to WLAD-AM Radio. Brookfield's Capital Improvement Plan details the bond request of $2.8 million that was advanced to a referendum Thursday night, reported WLAD-AM Radio. First Selectman Steve Dunn told WLAD-AM Radio the vote will be on July 19. Improvements to the Four Corners streetscape was unanimously approved, said the WLAD-AM report. Stratford BOE Formally Passes Center School To Town Council STRATFORD, Conn. -- The former Center School's future will be determined by Statford's Town Council, the Board of Education decided in a vote Tuesday, according to the Stratford Star. The 4-3 vote means Mayor John Harkins and Stratford government officials can turn the former school into a "transit-oriented development" as has been expressed, said the Stratford Star.
