Brewster's Seven Star School Stages 'Nutcracker'
BREWSTER, N.Y. --- "The Nutcracker" ballet will be performed Friday to Sunday in Brewster.The Seven Star School of Performing Arts will present this annual holiday tradition with a cast of 175 local performers. Tickets are available at the school, 509 Route 312. Performances are Friday at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday at 3 and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday at 3 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $15; and tickets will cost $20 at the door. Norwalk's Pepperidge Farm Files Milano Cookie Lawsuit Against Trader Joe's
NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk-based Pepperidge Farm Inc. has filed a lawsuit against Trader Joe's Co. for trademark infringement, alleging the company's cookie appears similar to its Milano cookie, according to Reuters.The lawsuit filed last week in federal court in New Haven alleges the company is "confusing shoppers" by selling its Trader Joe's Crispy Cookies, the report says. A Trader Joe's spokeswoman did not comment on the lawsuit, according to the report. The lawsuit also alleges Trader Joe's packages their cookies similarly, says Reuters. Here's the full story.

STONY POINT, N.Y. -- Stony Point and Haverstraw police arrested three people in connection with the seizure of 15 pounds of marijuana at a Stony Point residence Saturday night, according to police.The arrest occurred at 10:30 p.m. at a Tomkins Avenue residence, where officers were carrying out a stolen-vehicle investigation, police say. WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- An air quality alert is in effect through midnight in all of Westchester County, according to the National Weather Service. The advisory issued by the New York State Department of Enviornmental Conservation predicts the indoor air quality levels will be greater than an air quality index (AQI) value of 100 for fine particles.
