Woman, 22, Stopped For Speeding On Route 9 In Cortlandt Charged With DWI CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- A Cortlandt woman was charged Nov. 28 for driving while intoxicated by New York State Police in Cortlandt, police say. Troopers reportedly conducted the traffic stop on Carhart Avenue for a vehicle observed speeding on Route 9, according to police.  An investigation reportedly revealed that the driver, Amanda R. Nichols, 22, was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the stop, police say.
