Barnard Early Childhood Center Awash in Red and Purple NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. --.Students at Barnard Early Childhood Center have been learning about money, counting, and sorting while raising money for Pennies for Patients, a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The effort is in memory of teacher's assistant Yolanda Blanco.The students brought in contributions and raised $3,100. Blanco's family and Barnard staff were in attendance when Principal Joanna Genovese made the recent announcement.
