Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Woman Indicted In Husband's Fatal Shooting In South Jersey Marylue Wigglesworth, 51, of Mays Landing, was indicted Tuesday, Feb. 21 on charges of murder and weapons offenses for the alleged murder of her husband, David Wigglesworth, 57. On Christmas 2022, at approximately 10:19 p.m., the Township of Hamilton Police Department responded to a residence on the 5200 block of Mays Landing Somers Point Road for an injured man. Tornado Warning Issued In Parts Of NJ The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a tornado warning in parts of Mercer, Monmouth and Middlesex counties. At 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Edinburg, or 7 miles east of Trenton, moving east at 45 mph, the NWS said. Locations impacted include Hightstown, Cranbury, Roosevelt, Mercerville-Hamilton Square, Edinburg, Windsor, Twin Rivers, Clearbrook Park, Princeton Junction and Concordia.  People in those areas were advised to seek cover.

Death Of Man In Toms River Fire Due To Smoke Inhalation An autopsy on the 76-year-old man killed in a fire in Toms River has ruled his cause of death was asphyxia due to smoke inhalation, authorities said. The examination and investigation concluded that Billy Kimbrough’s death was accidental and possibly due to smoking in bed, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. His body was discovered in a structure fire on Roberts Road in Toms River Township on Thursday, Feb. 16. Investigators concluded that the fire originated on a mattress in the bedroom of the residence.

Former Rutgers Football Player Ryan Keeler Dies, 20 Former Rutgers football player Ryan Keeler, who transferred to UNLV last year, died Monday in Las Vegas, both schools  announced.  Keeler, 20, was a member of the Scarlet Knights’ 2021 recruiting class.  A cause of death has not been reported.
